The Faculty Student Council (WRS) is the decision-making body of the Student Government of Gdańsk University of Technology at faculty level. It is responsible for representing students before the faculty authorities and making decisions on student affairs in its unit. The WRS is involved in numerous initiatives, such as organising integration, cultural and scientific events, as well as giving opinions on changes to regulations and educational programmes.
Each Council has its own unique focus and carries out projects tailored to the needs of the students in its faculty. Often, the WRSes collaborate with each other to organise larger-scale events, and in the period before and after Technikalia, each Council organises a so-called ‘peri-technikalia’ event. Council members share responsibilities to ensure the effectiveness of the initiatives they carry out.
