Who are they?

Each dormitory at the Gdańsk University of Technology has its own Residents' Council. It consists of three individuals who are elected by the residents of the respective dormitory in free elections. Their main responsibility is to organize the academic community life. What does this mean? They deal with any matters concerning the dormitory and its residents to make living easier and better.

What are their responsibilities?

The duties of the Residents' Council are quite demanding. They primarily communicate with the dormitory managers, arrange equipment for the gym, and negotiate terms of using the party room. They are also responsible for allocating rooms for the academic year: calculating points and reviewing all applications, complaints, and grievances from their fellow residents. They handle all current matters concerning the students living in the dormitory during the academic year as well as during vacations.
